'Muslim Doulas Australia is a Sydney based pregnancy, birth and postnatal support service available to Muslim women; providing doula support for all types of births - hospital, birth centre and home births, medicated and unmedicated, cesarean and vaginal birth after caesarean (VBAC), twins and breech - and all types of postnatal and breastfeeding support.
"We are a passionate group of Muslim doulas providing a range of services to Muslim women in the community. We all trained under Nakhlah Childbirth International which is an organisation committed to the support and education of women, and provides doula training to Muslim women around the world.
Sumayyah Giddins, our team leader and teacher, is a director of Nakhlah Childbirth International and manager of Mother Nourished, a health and wellness service for women in Sydney, Australia.
